THE BATTLE RAGES
God’s end time
program revolves around Israel. And so,
the battle rages.
Yes, the battle rages…BUT GOD has opened another door through a weekly outreach at ASU/Arizona State University. Manning a table on campus with the message of “I Found Shalom” has produced fruit as we engage students in dialogue. Day 1 on campus: the first student, a young woman, stood at a distance reading with interest what we had displayed. Though not yet a believer in Jesus, she was open to conversing and we were most open in sharing Jesus. Our vocalizing God’s plan for Israel and our knowledge of the Old Testament prompted her to invite us to join her table on campus which supports Israel. Without hesitation, this young Jewish woman offered her contact information and we began to Email. Stimulating dialogue with several students and our gathering contact information marked the first day. That evening I connected with several venues in search of a room where we might hold Bible studies with those students who expressed interest in understanding the Jewish roots of Christianity. The Bible study has been launched.
The battle rages…BUT GOD prevented injury to ASU Jewish students amidst a hateful anti-Semitic protest. In reaching out to my new ASU Jewish friend concerning her physical well-being while letting her know that at church we prayed for her and the Jewish students, further bonding occurred.
The battle rages…BUT GOD has reopened communication with an Orthodox man who disagreed with me at an event several months ago. Upon hearing us singing “Good, Good Father” during our Bible study in his facility recently, Schmuel entered our classroom and intently listened. He was given a sheet with the lyrics which he poured over and then left, taking the words of the song with him.
The battle rages…BUT GOD is giving me a song in my heart in praise of Him!
Won’t you join us for a lovely eclectic song celebration…
